tiger CUBs visit ‘wings of glory’ tour

Southbury Pack 61 Den 10 Visits Oxford Airport Exhibit 

Den 10 Tiger Cubs visited the ‘Wings of Freedom’ tour, a traveling exhibit of vintage World War II planes, at Oxford Airport on Sunday, Sept. 12^th.  The scouts walked through the planes, met and talked to WWII era veteran flyers, and then watched the planes taxi the runway and with great engine roars take off to the skies.  The airport tour was preceded by an airplane show-and-tell when the scouts shared stories about planes in their personal toy and model collections.  The activity was designed to help the scouts earn one of their five principal Cub Scout badges by June 2010.
