Memorial Day Parade - May 28, 2007

If there is rain, Park and Rec has an info line number that will tell if parade is on or not: 264-5858.

Parade will step off at 11:00am sharp.  If you wish to join us please be there no later than 10:45!

Dress for the weather,  full uniform and comfortable shoes.  Don't forget a water bottle and sunscreen!

Line up is at Pomperaug Office Park (across from Southbury Food Center)

The parade will march to the War Memorial Monuments between Town Hall and the new Park and Rec (old library).  Sports teams will march to the Firehouse so that the memorial services can remain on time and not be disrupted.  In keeping with the mood of the day the parade committee asks that NO items be thrown by the marchers to the people watching. 

Cub Scouts will line up behind the boy scout troops.

If you wish to park at Rochambeau (Middle School) a shuttle will leave at 9:45am

After the parade there will be a town picnic at Settlers Park.
