Pinewood Derby Clinic

Location: PES Cafeteria

The Pinewood Derby Clinic will be held from 6:30-9pm on Friday, January 4th.  Bring your car kit and your imagination.  If you have tools you'd like to use and share, please bring them.  The Pack will also have tools there for those that need them.  You can stop in for a few minutes or stay for the entire night - it's up to you!

What to bring?

Cars, axles and wheels (all included in the box your received)

If you are planning on painting, bring your own paint.  Keep in mind sanding sealer needs two hours to dry, so if you haven't gotten to that stage before the meeting, you will most likely not need paint on Friday night.

Any tools you have at home that you would like to use and share.

What we'll provide:

Several coping saws with a variety of blades, wood files, scroll saw, sandpaper, drills.  All basic body forming tools.  Also special axle and wheel tools. Scale and extra weights if needed.

What we'll be doing that night:

Each child and parent team can work at their own pace.  If you have done some work at home first that’s fine, or if you haven’t cracked open your box yet, that’s fine too.  We have at least two helpers who will assist with the use of the tools and be available to explain the rules, give general advice on car building and help make your child’s idea come to life.
