Pinewood Derby Clinic

Location: Southbury Parks & Rec

The Pinewood Derby Clinic will be held from 10:00am -2:00 pm on SUNDAY, January 22st.  Bring your car kit and your imagination.  If you have tools you'd like to use and share, please bring them.  The Pack will also have tools there for those that need them.  You can stop in for a few minutes or stay for the entire afternoon - it's up to you!

What to bring?

Cars, axles and wheels (all included in the box your received) 

Any tools you have at home that you would like to use and share. 

What we'll provide: 

Books with ideas and templates

Several coping saws with a variety of blades, wood files, scroll saw, sandpaper, drills

All basic body forming tools. 

Special axle and wheel tools

Scale

Sanding Sealer

Paint and Paint Brushes 

Weights will be available for purchase

What we'll be doing: 

Each child and parent team can work at their own pace.  If you have done some work at home first that’s fine, or if you haven’t cracked open your box yet, that’s fine too.  We have at least two helpers who will assist with the use of the tools and be available to explain the rules, give general advice on car building and help make the scout’s idea come to life.
