Pinewood Derby

The Pack 61 Pinewood Derby will be held on Saturday, January 12th at the VFW. 

If you need helping making your Pinewood Derby car or just want to have fun working on it with the pack?  Come to our Pinewood Derby Clinic on Friday, January 4th!

There are three races:

Standard Race:

Each scout may enter one car which he will race against the members of his den.  This car must follow the official pinewood derby rules.  The top three winners from each den will compete against each other until we have the top three finalists for the pack.

Outlaw Race:

All scouts may enter a car into the outlaw race as well as the Standard Race.  This car does NOT have to follow the official pinewood derby rules.  You can let your imagination run wild and make the car as fast as possible using any means you can think of.  This car may not be the same as the one entered into the Standard or Sibling Race.

Sibling Race:

Any sibling, boy or girl, of a cub scout may create a car to race.  Siblings from all dens will compete together. The car must follow the official pinewood derby rules.

Race Schedule:

*A siblings race will be held for each den and will begin immediately after the den's race.
